Dickson Minto WS Pro Am Tournament at Wentworth Golf Club, England

By Lucy Davies • June 14th, 2012

I got an invitation to play and be apart of the Dickson Minto WS Pro Am at the very famous and prestigious

Wentworth Castle

Wentworth Golf Club.  I flew from Bratislava, Slovakia  at 22:30, managed to get to bed at 1:30 to then get up at 5:00 to be play in the tournament.  I was very tired but very excited at the same time.  England hasn’t had the best weather lately and it was pouring rain and the course was very wet.  But as the day went on the rain eased off.  The 27 hole tournament was reduced to 18 holes on the West course which is the host of the BMW Championship and is in the top 100 golf courses in the world!

I had a great time with my group Ross, Andrew and David all gentleman from Edinburgh, Scotland.  After the tournament we all sat down for a very formal dinner and shared lots of laughs on the day’s events.

Ross, Me, David and Andrew: Pro Am Team

It was fantastic pro am and well organized.   I was honored to be chosen to play as a representative of the L.E.T and given chance to play this fantastic golf course.

Special Thanks to Jane Howard Hill, Jill Berry, Alastair Dickson and last but not least my team!

18th Hole at Wentworth: I may of laid up but still made birdie!
